Crafting currencies

Currencies drop from kills (35% of successful drop rolls) and are spent directly on items. Every orb respects the item's ilvl caps — crafting can never push an item past what its level allows. Corrupted items refuse all of them.

Drop share = of all currency drops · the Dread Sigil (below) takes the remaining 2%

The corruption gamble

The Dread Sigil

Brands an item with the Dreadmark: 75% to sear in a corrupted modifier beyond its limits, 25% to ruin it into a random Rare. One mark per item, forever. It rolls alongside the orbs, at 2% of all currency drops.

  • 75% — the item gains one corrupted mod from its slot's pool below: 48% low band / 32% mid / 20% high. Corrupted mods live outside the normal affix budget, and their values sit above what normal tiers can roll.
  • 25% — the item is ruined: rerolled into a random Rare of the same base.
  • Either way the item is Dreadmarked forever: it refuses every crafting orb and a second sigil. One mark per item. Ever.
